About the Founder

Born and raised in Southern California, Liat graduated from Shenkar College of Art, Design and Engineering in Tel Aviv, earning a Bachelor of Design in Textiles (2012). Her international textile journey began with her curiosity and exposure to local textile crafts in Zurich, Switzerland, post-graduation.

Liat's professional trajectory took her to New York in 2013, where she thrived as both an artist and tastemaker, crafting art installations and textile props for window displays at ABC Carpet and Home. Subsequently, in 2018, Liat Gorodenzik had founded POISE Studios, (pronounced: /poiz/). Liat immersed herself in the vibrant flower culture of Amsterdam, embracing the role of a florist and discovering a profound connection to slow living through the art of flower arrangement and the practice of Yin Yoga.

Her journey culminated in the Mediterranean, where Liat seamlessly integrated her diverse lifestyles, immersing herself in various cultures and the harmony of daily visits to the sea.

Notably, Liat's creative endeavors reflect a profound passion for natural materials, often drawing inspiration from her surroundings and the innate beauty of nature itself.

Moreover, Liat's commitment to her textile professional development through research, product development, new technologies of production with a mindful focus is evident through her active participation in creative international community of fashion + textiles. Liat attends textile and lingerie industry fairs across Los Angeles, New York, and Europe expanding her knowledge and up and coming innovative initiatives. Continuously seeking inspiration, Liat currently resides in a space where she can nurture her creative spirit through textiles, craft and technology and with that deepening her connection to the body through daily practice of yin yoga.
